The Marble Palace is one of the tourist attractions of Tehran
When we say Marble Palace, we mean one of the tourist attractions of Tehran. This palace is different from the Marble Palace located in Ramsar. This palace was built by Reza Khan with the aim of demonstrating the grandeur and glory of the Pahlavi government to the whole world. Do you know why this palace is called the Marble Palace? This name is mostly because of its green marble columns that are placed all around the exterior facade of the building. After the revolution, the Marble Palace was initially under the Revolutionary Committee and later came under the Expediency Discernment Council. For many years, the sessions of this council were held in the Marble Palace until the Foundation of the Oppressed took control of the palace and began preparations to change its usage. Finally, in 2019, it was opened to the public. In this museum, you can see objects related to the first and second Pahlavi kings.
