Imamzadeh Es'haq Gorgan (Imamzadeh Noor)
This Imamzadeh is located in the historic texture of Gorgan and is also known as Imamzadeh Noor. It has an octagonal plan and belongs to the Seljuk era. This building features brick decorations, a mihrab, and plasterwork. There are also two old door leaves and a precious wooden chest at the shrine.
The shrine inside this wooden lattice chest is made of plaster. On the four sides of the entrance door, verses from the Quran in exquisite Kufic script remain. Above the mihrab arch, a plaster inscription can be seen. Also, on the four corners of the wooden chest of the Imamzadeh, there is a Kufic inscription in two rows, top and bottom. Imamzadeh Es'haq ibn Musa ibn Jafar is one of the spiritual and religious dignitaries of the city of Gorgan and is said to be the brother of Imam Reza (AS).
