Mashhad Kaveh Village is located in the central district of Chadegan County and according to some beliefs, it is the birthplace of «Kaveh the Blacksmith», a legendary hero of Iran. According to reports, this village was known by the names Kovadliyeh or Kodliyeh before Kaveh the Blacksmith's uprising, and afterwards became famous by its current name. One of the attractions of Mashhad Kaveh is a 700-year-old shrine that many attribute to Kaveh the Blacksmith. According to their claim, besides Kaveh the Blacksmith, his daughter and son are also buried in this place. Other sights in Mashhad Kaveh village include its historical tower, which dates back to the Qajar era.
