Golbahar Airport is the first private airport in Iran aimed at promoting the culture of general aviation with official permission from the Civil Aviation Organization and as the first private aviation center in Iran, located 35 kilometers northwest of Mashhad and at the entrance of the new city of Golbahar. Golbahar Airport, with a runway length of 3300 FT and a taxiway parallel to the runway, four exits, hangar and ramp with a capacity of more than 70 personal and training aircraft, also provides navigation flights throughout Iran. This company, registered in Ordibehesht 1380 (May 2001), started its activity with one Sky Walker aircraft and later, due to numerous requests from young people for pilot training, established a private airport in this province, which is currently among the most important pilot training airports in the country.
