Garash Castle or Homayoun Fortress dates back to the historical periods after Islam and is located in the city of Garash, at the highest point of the mountain overlooking the city, and is one of the tourist attractions of Garash. The historical fortress of Garash, also called Kalat, belongs to the era of Shah Zand and before. Amir Mohiuddin was assigned by Seyyed Afifuddin Shah Zand to conquer this castle and bravely took control of it. This historical fortress was the center of government in various periods and recently, during the conflict between Reza Shah Pahlavi's forces and Zadan Khan Garashi, its buildings were bombed by airplanes and its remains were destroyed. This castle, which currently only has ruins left, is located on a large hill at an altitude of 1070 meters above sea level, called "Kalat," around which the city has developed.
