The Haj Safar Ali Mosque was built by order of Haj Safar Ali Khoei, a merchant and deputy governor at that time. Its magnificent design includes a tall dome and a minaret decorated with blue tiles. The mosque has a dome chamber in the north, two columned prayer halls in the east and west, and a courtyard with rooms for students. The eastern and western sides also have two independent halls. After damage caused by the earthquake of 1193 AH, it was rebuilt during the Qajar period and did not suffer serious damage during the great flood of 1288 AH.
