Damavand needs no introduction because every Iranian knows it well. The volcanic mountain Damavand is the highest peak in Iran and the tallest volcano in the Middle East region. It is mentioned in Iranian mythological stories and its image is used in most national symbols.
Climbing Damavand is a real challenge for Iranian and foreign mountaineers.
The Damavand peak, with an elevation of 5610 meters, is easily visible from distant areas such as Qom, Varamin, and northern regions on clear days. If your travel route is from Haraz road to the north, you will see a beautiful view of the Damavand foothills.
The ice waterfall located on the southern face of Mount Damavand is one of the most interesting natural phenomena in the region. This waterfall is completely frozen all year round and only melts and flows for a few days in the summer season when the temperature rises above zero.
