One of the main gates of Harand, which was destroyed in the past, is the Hazrati Gate, located opposite the Imamzadeh Es'haq. There was the Joub Howz Mosque, Haj Abbas Torab Bazaar, and a large and unique tower outside the Harand enclosure, between Imamzadeh Es'haq and the Hazrati Gate. This tower was exactly opposite the current Shaheed Sabbagh School and in the middle of Es'haq Street, with two rooms on two floors, a toilet, a water well, and a spiral ramp. They could even go to the top of this tower with horses and livestock. The rooms were stacked in the center of the tower, and the ramp spiraled inside around the rooms and went up. On the roof of this tower, there was a parapet wall. The tower's apparent use was astronomical, and in times of danger, it served as a watchtower. On dark nights, fire or a lamp was lit on top of the tower so travelers could find their way. After 46 years since the destruction of this historic tower in 2019, extensive studies were conducted. By referring to old documents, records, and photos, the astronomical tower plan was prepared in 2020. With the efforts of the municipality and the Islamic Council of Harand, reconstruction began and was completed in March 2024. This area is also known as the roof of Harand.
