Description

The shrine of Agha Seyyed Javad in the village of Mobandan (or Mobandan), a part of Langarud County in Gilan Province, is one of the religious sites respected by the local people. This shrine is attributed to Seyyed Javad, one of the Sayyids and religious elders of the region, and is recognized as one of Langarud's spiritual attractions.

This shrine is located in a lush area with a moderate Caspian climate, surrounded by rice fields and Gilan forests.

History and significance of the shrine

Seyyed Javad Mobandan was probably one of the Alawi Sayyids or religious scholars from ancient times (likely Safavid or Qajar era) who, due to his spiritual status, had a shrine built for him.

Some local sources consider him a descendant of the Shia Imams, but there is no precise historical document available regarding his lineage.

This shrine holds special reverence for the local people, and some visit it for pilgrimage, vows, and prayers.
