Ancient Hills of Sarkharud
In the past, Sarkharud was a military district used to protect people during the reign of the Sasanian and Parthian kings. In fact, this district has two hills, both known as the Qalakti Hills. Protective castles once stood on these hills, and now it is one of the most historically attractive sights of Mahmoudabad.
The ancient hills of Sarkharud, one of Mahmoudabad's attractions, have been registered as national heritage sites since 2011 and are under the attention of officials. These 3000 square meter hills are only 4 kilometers from the Sarkharud coast, and you can have a pleasant time visiting them.
