The Aliabad Katoul Ethnology Museum is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Aliabad Katoul and the first ethnology museum in Golestan Province. It covers an area of 400 square meters and was opened in 2008. With various sections, the museum introduces the customs and rituals of this region. In the women's clothing section of Katouli, garments such as dresses, underskirts, vests, city hats, scarves, woolen shawls, headscarves, and body coverings are displayed. In the men's section, shirts, pants or chogha, vests, round hats, and footwear such as leg bands or patouh, woolen socks, chargh, and slippers are exhibited. Also, as one of the extinct arts of Aliabad Katoul, the art of felt-making is introduced in the museum. One of the most attractive parts of the museum is called "Bride Escort," which is one of the traditions and rituals of wedding ceremonies in Aliabad Katoul.
