Dahmavard has a rich historical background. In geographical sources from the 3rd to the 8th centuries AH, it is referred to as "As" and in some cases as "Budenjan" and also "Dih-e Mored." Among the pre-Islamic era monuments in this area are the famous "Chahar Taqi" buildings, one of which still exists in Dahmavard village near the tomb of Imamzadeh Yousef (AS).
Among these attractions are the beautiful natural area of Benab, beautiful and pristine alley gardens, recreational areas of Hashaneh and Bidars, Dahmavard waterfall, and Dahmavard Goorab, which have given a beautiful view to this village.
The historical sites of the village that indicate its antiquity include: the sacred shrine of Imamzadeh Yousef (AS), the historical space of Zeynabiyeh Mosque which is in the process of being registered as a national monument, 11 water mills and the Chahar Taqi building all registered as national monuments, the burnt city of Dahmavard, and numerous discovered tombstones in this area some dating back 1500 years.
